In 2005 Msida Sea Scouts decided to form up a Pipes & Drums Band. In a few weeks the band members started their training. Initially the band consisted of a Drum Major, 8 Pipers, 4 Drummers, 2 Tenor Drummers, 1 Bass Drummer and a Bellyra. It was not an easy task especially when the individuals had never played marching instruments. Most of the bagpipes were sponsored by the Group members' families, as an expression of thanks, embroided banner with the family surname coat of arm is attached to the bagpipe drone. The Blackwatch (Royal Highland Regiment) tartan together with the full Highland dress and accessories is our band's official uniform.
The Msida Sea Scouts Pipes and Drums was launched on the 14 of July 2007.
